Working for a start up allowed me to learn many new skills and be very adaptable to carrying out any tasks necessary across a variety of departments. My main focuses the my role was recruitment and IT support. I would work within teams and individually. I Created and managed contract and offer letter templates, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to new hires and other stakeholders. I would also maintain Azure AD, including managing user access and permissions, setting up groups and policies, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure secure and reliable access to cloud-based resources.
While studying at University I started with Amber Labs part time and resolved IT support tickets and technical issues for end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems and providing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity Configured and distributed laptops and other hardware to end-users, including installing software and conducting user training to ensure smooth and efficient adoption of new technology
Responsibilities include monitoring perishable stock and reducing wastage, ensuring stock supply meet demand, and checking for inaccuracies in inventory to prevent overstocking. Internally recruited role requiring technical skill with company's systems, attention to detail and experience with data analysis for finding and addressing problems.
While I was studying at West College Scotland I was taken on as a student placement but was then extended until I start University. while I worked in the college I assisted in a mass roll out of software for WCS including creating appointments and documenting all work carried out. Worked closely with college staff requiring patience and knowledge of the job at hand. Worked individually and as part of a team to solve ever changing issues and complications with company software and hardware. Often required problem solving.
While I was a mechanic I gained my level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. This qualification included failure analysis and fault diagnosis including problem solving and many other skills. Preparing reports of work done and maintaining time management for documentation. I was the chairperson of a Think Customer work group within branch and mentor to new apprentice technicians.
Modules included - Website Development, Internet Scripting, Web Server Technology, Programming for Mobile Devices and Database Applications.
Modules included - Data structures, Web Development: data driven website and dynamically generated content and Object-Oriented Programming in Java.
